Public bug reported:

Snapshot is the default camera application in Ubuntu Desktop, release as part
of the GNOME project.
We missed packaging version 50 pre-release tarballs in time for feature freeze.
We would like to update to version 50 for some nice improvements, as well as
showing that Ubuntu Desktop is providing the latest version as promised as part
of delivering GNOME 50.

## 50.alpha - 2026-01-03
- Screenshots are now hosted at static.gnome.org
- Require meson 1.7
- Dynamically link to glycin using glycin-rebind
- Set properties to encoders

## 50.beta - 2026-01-31
- Update rqrr to 0.10.0
- Update gtk4-rs to 0.11.0-alpha
- Updated translations

Beside some (vendored) rust crates updates, the only real new "feature"
is "Dynamically link to glycin using glycin-rebind" which allows
reducing the binary size, as well as directly benefitting from updates
to libglycin (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glycin)
