Hi Christian, super cool to see this moving forward! Quick follow-up regarding corresponding Gstreamer element from gst-plugins-rs (which should now be unblocked IIUC): 1. Would it make sense if I open a dedicated bug for that / is that maybe already tracked somewhere (internally)? 2. Would there still be a chance to get it into Resolute or is that off the table by now?
Just to reiterate why I'd love to see it: it (dav1ddec) is much faster than (and automatically preferred over) the currently shipped libaom based element (av1dec) and having it would allow Gstreamer apps to perform on par or better than other apps like e.g. browsers regarding AV1. For that reason it's part of the default packages in various other distros such as Fedora, and it would be awesome to see Ubuntu doing the same :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2133757 Title: [MIR] dav1d (transitive depends of libavif -> pillow) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dav1d/+bug/2133757/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
