** Description changed:

+ [ Impact ]
+
+ The socketpair regression tests fail on Noble with HWE kernels. While
+ these are only tests, this known failure would mask other potential
+ issues that this test should otherwise catch.
+
+ [ Test Plan ]
+
+ AppArmor's QRT test suite, includes execution of the AppArmor regression test
suite.
+  * To prepare the QRT test suite (can be done on any machine):
+    - `git clone https://git.launchpad.net/qa-regression-testing`
+    - `./scripts/make-test-tarball ./scripts/test-apparmor.py`
+  * To run the QRT test suite:
+    - Copy the tarball onto the machine with the new AppArmor installed and
extract it
+    - `sudo ./install-packages test-apparmor.py`
+    - Reboot after dependency installation
+    - `sudo ./test-apparmor.py -v`
+
+ [ Where problems could occur ]
+
+ As these are test-only changes, new breakages in the tests would not
+ directly result in regressions in installed code. However, new breakages
+ introduced by these changes may mask future breakages that are supposed
+ to be caught by the tests in question.
+
+ [ Other Info ]
+
+ ----original bug text
+
Because we decided not to go ahead with the FFE in LP: #2121907 for the
new AF_UNIX ABI, making the test pass will instead require adjusting the
  testsuite expectations.
