Note: The root of this bug does not lie within the isolated Flatpak environment. I have installed the APT version of OBS Studio, and the issue is identical—global hotkeys still do not work. I believe the core problem is the overall flawed concept of Wayland. However, everything is fixable.
I consider it extremely irresponsible of Canonical’s management to forcibly impose Wayland while sophisticatedly blocking X11, all without contributing financially to Wayland’s development to resolve its critical flaws. Currently, there isn't a single screen recording application that functions correctly on Wayland. I sincerely urge Canonical’s management to begin contributing to Wayland’s development, either through funding or by assigning dedicated developers. Alternatively, X11 should be unblocked by default. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any documentation or guide on how to re-enable X.org in this version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2142905 Title: Bug report.
