Hello,
I am reporting a regression/build failure for the Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA
driver (bcmwl-kernel-source) on the new 6.17.0-14-generic kernel (Linux Mint /
Ubuntu Noble base).
The driver installs and works perfectly on Kernel 6.14, but it fails to
compile via DKMS on Kernel 6.17. Below is the terminal output showing
the "Bad return status" error.
Hardware/Signal Note: On this specific hardware (BCM4313), I also
encountered severe packet loss (80%) which was only resolved by a
physical antenna swap and using the ant_sel module parameter. Please
look into antenna selection logic improvements as well.
