Of all the messages I wanted to bring this one up to your attention:

"
Foreign Packages Installed

The following unofficial packages are currently installed:

libssl3t64...............Installed from: unknown origin
openssl..................Installed from: unknown origin
openssl-provider-legacy..Installed from: unknown origin

It is recommended to install supported versions from the Ubuntu
archive, and try the upgrade again.

I ignored this message ( would not recommend at all ).

Took a leap of faith (again, not a great idea ) and upgraded from 25.10
to 26.04 .

Good news: The upgrade completed successfully though !!

Still wanted to report this - just so anyone familiar with the packages
can track what is so unique about these 3 (while upgrading from 25.10 to
26.04 !!).

fyi. Thanks !!
