So, I have installed chromium-browser (and brave) through snap package
system.
When I try to play youtube videos (or any video in the browser, like
Twitter/X ), audio does not work (i.e. no sound is heard ).
But independently, when I play mp3/mp4/mkv files using vlc and totem on
my system, I could hear the sound and audio though. No issues though !!
So, it seems audio does not specifically work / be heard when using chromium
(and similar browsers, like brave) when installed using snap.
I have a hunch that it has something to do with snap / apparmor related
issues !! But unable to prove it !!
I do not want to do the snap purge chromium-browser route as I will lose my
profiles.
What could be going wrong ? What snap setting , to do with apparmor
should I check to allow chromium and brave to play audio correctly ?
