** Description changed:

Qpdfview is setting its Wayland app ID to qpdfview.local.qpdfview, which
doesn't match the .desktop file name (just qpdfview). I fixed this
locally by adding StartupWMClass=qpdfview.local.qpdfview to the .desktop
file, under the [Desktop Entry] section.

EDIT: forgot to really describe the issue. I installed qpdfview via apt
on 24.04 running x. I later switched to logging in to wayland session,
- and sometime after that the qpdfview dock icon stopped displaying, I
- just got the generic gear icon. In the app menu the icon was correct. I
- fixed this by adding StartupWMClass=qpdfview.local.qpdfview to the
- .desktop file and logging out/logging back in.
