Hello Alexandra,
I tested the installation, removal and installation of unbound on latest
Ubuntu (Resolute) and Ubuntu Noble and the unbound service runs fine
after the second installation.
After the 'apt remove unbound'; I only see these files left behind:
ubuntu@thrilling-zebu:~$ dpkg -L unbound
/etc
/etc/apparmor.d
/etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.unbound
/etc/init.d
/etc/init.d/unbound
/etc/insserv.conf.d
/etc/insserv.conf.d/unbound
/etc/resolvconf
/etc/resolvconf/update.d
/etc/resolvconf/update.d/unbound
/etc/unbound
/etc/unbound/unbound.conf
/etc/unbound/unbound.conf.d
/etc/unbound/unbound.conf.d/remote-control.conf
/etc/unbound/unbound.conf.d/root-auto-trust-anchor-file.conf
/var
/var/lib
/var/lib/unbound
That seems ok, can you help me on how to reproduce the issue ?
