Public bug reported: Plese sync mariadb 1:11.8.6-3 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
## FFe ## Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: The current mariadb 1:11.8.6-2 has been in resolute-proposed for 20+ days failing to get promoted due to autopkgtest failures as described in LP #2143708. As there is no email notification to the uploader or similar, this wasn't noticed until last week. The autopkgtest in Debian had been passing, and the failure was visible only in the Ubuntu/Launchpad autopkgtest. After finding the root cause, it was determined that it affects both Debian and Ubuntu, so the fix was uploaded to Debian and this FFe is filed to sync that into Ubuntu as well. The upload has no new features or changes, only targeted bugfixes. Before uploading to Debian the changes were reviewed by by a Server Team member at https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb- server/-/merge_requests/157. The MR also documents how the new version was confirmed to pass the Ubuntu/Launchpad autopkgtest specifically by utilizing the ability to trigger autopkgtest on PPA uploads. Commit messages and diffs have in-depth information about the issues and why the changes solve them. This is somewhat urgent as it is a dependency to complete LP #2122095 (MIR MariaDB). == Changelog entries since current resolute version 1:11.8.6-2 == mariadb (1:11.8.6-3) unstable; urgency=medium * Skip nondeterministic vector tests in mariadb-test-run to avoid sporadic failures that are not signs of any actual regressions * Make autopkgtest emit debug info on service start failures * Fix AppArmor "disconnected path" errors (LP: #2143708) to ensure that systemd notify signals are passed correctly and the MariaDB systemd service won't think the service failed to start and timeout after 15 minutes -- Otto Kekäläinen <[email protected]> Tue, 10 Mar 2026 23:23:23 +0000 ** Affects: mariadb (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Changed in: mariadb (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Description changed: Plese sync mariadb 1:11.8.6-3 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) ## FFe ## Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: The current mariadb 1:11.8.6-2 has been in resolute-proposed for 20+ days failing to get promoted due to autopkgtest failures as described in - LP#2143708.
