This issue is still present in Hardy Alpha 3 on a Dell Inspiron 1520 (Intel X3100 graphics card).
I want my laptop to do some big downloads over night. I set it to work, close the lid, and go to bed. Seconds later, the backlight comes back on. It is very difficult to go to sleep in a room with thin crack of eerie light emanating from a closed laptop. More to the point, it can't be doing the laptop much good, either. This issue remains even if the screensaver is set to blank screen - the pixels go dark but the backlight comes back on! -- closed Laptop Lid to reliably keep Backlight off https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/41994 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
