I think the ideal course is to promote the Golang modules to main. But, of course, it is a lot of paperwork and we will need to come For a plan (in my opinion that requires spreading the load to multiple poeple, but we will discuss in May).
For now, however, I packaged Restic with the Golang modules vendored. It is published at [1] and the autopkgtest run is at [2]. I'd be thankful for feedback pertaining to the packaging.
