Public bug reported: libxkbcommon past 1.11 sends an XkbNewKeyboardNotify event for a device that libX11 < 1.8.13 hasn't loaded a keymap for yet, libX11 dereferences a NULL pointer.
This breaks omnissa-horizon-client and their new Wayland client in resolute with version 1.8.12. See here: https://github.com/joshii-h/fix-omnissa-horizon-graphic-bugs- wayland?tab=readme-ov-file Fix: pull MR https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/-/merge_requests/293 or libX11 1.8.13 from Debian. What happens Connecting to a client in horizon causes all Xwayland apps to not render. Killing Xwayland allows X11 apps to open properly. Client should connect and be visible. Xwayland apps should be unaffected. ** Affects: libx11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: resolute ** Tags added: resolute -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2145706 Title: libxkbcommon interaction fixed in upstream To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libx11/+bug/2145706/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
