I filed bug #2137021 , which was marked as a duplicate of this one. I can try to test it this weekend since I'll have some extra time (and the testing instructions, specifically how to roll it back) are posted above.
Is there any additional prep I need to do to test the fix? For context: in Bug #2137021, I followed steps provided by @dtl131 in comment 9 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- firmware/+bug/2137021/comments/9 , and have had working audio as long as I boot the 6.17.0-1008-oem kernel. The most recent 6.17.0-19-generic kernel fixed the *speaker* issue, but caused headphones (via the headphone jack) to not work, so I've been using 6.17.0-1008-oem. So, when I install the -proposed linux-firmware, is there a specific kernel I should test it against? Or all that are on my machine? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2137115 Title: [Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14ILL10, 17aa:3838] Missing Cirrus Amp Firmware in Ubuntu 24.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/2137115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
