I can confirm this bug. I have my /home in crypttab too. It seems to be an interaction problem with upstart, since ditching upstart and going back to normal sysvinit solves the problem. If you use upstart, you need to run "/etc/init.d/cryptdisks restart" as root (since /home isn't there) every time after booting.
