Daniel & Team, Thank you for the debug assist.
I tried the `MUTTER_DEBUG_FORCE_RENDER_SOURCE=0` workaround right after you sent the recommendation comment. In my opinion, I saw a noticeable reduction in the cursor latency/rubber-banding. Throughout the day it happened, however, was very subtle and didn't really register with me when it did happen if it was normal rare latency or the bug itself. This morning however, I noticed it right away with a few second cursor stall and I immediately went to pull the logs you requested. The issue happened around 10:58am. So, with little usage since the "workaround" and usage being consistent - I'd say it's mitigated/reduced the bug. I'd be concerned about the experience while gaming in higher FPS environments though.... Please see attached journal/log that you requested. ** Attachment added: "System Journal Since Last Restart" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2146854/+attachment/5957639/+files/Ubuntu-Logs_SG-Lappy_04012026.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2146854 Title: Mouse Cursor Sticky/Latency To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2146854/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
