Public bug reported:
Quite upsetting event. Was playing bagpipe music from YouTube in Firefox
browser and raised volume to max while grieving. Shortly after, the
music paused and muted. Sound did not resume after playback was resumed.
Tried changing volume and source, still no worky worky. Rebooted and
still no sound. When I looked at the sound manager in the system tray
that is when I found the output device "builtin audio" grayed out and a
nonexistant "usb camera" selected as audio out. How does that make any
sense? I was able to resolve the issue with the help of ChatGPT queries.
However, this bug really upset me so I would like to do what I can to
make sure this behavior does not persist. Thank you
