I installed the Hardy kernel () while still running Gutsy as suggested by Rune Evjen on 2008-01-10. This did NOT solve the problem - my laptop (Lenovo 3000 N100 0768-6XG) still does not resume from suspend. The hard drive light comes on, the fan activates, but the screen stays dark and capslock does not work.
The fact that it works for others and not for me could potentially be related to my /etc/default/acpi-support or my kernel boot options.
