The HWE 6.5 kernel you reported against is no longer supported. Could
you check whether this issue still occurs on a current kernel? If you
are still on Ubuntu 22.04, you should now be on the 6.8 HWE kernel.
Alternatively, testing on Ubuntu 24.04 would also help.
If the issue persists, please attach diagnostic data by running:
apport-collect 2060060
You can also test whether disabling the lid as a wakeup source resolves
the issue:
echo disabled | sudo tee
/sys/bus/acpi/devices/PNP0C0D:00/power/wakeup
Then suspend, close the lid, and see if it stays asleep.
