We have had that in Debian and Ubuntu for quite a long time, and I have
no idea whether it's really still needed. I will look into it though.
As a workaround, one can simply override this with:
# /etc/systemd/journald.conf.d/syslog.conf
[Journal]
ForwardToSyslog=no
** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu)
Assignee: (unassigned) => Nick Rosbrook (enr0n)
** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided => Low
