I can probably do another debug run this weekend with other versions, but my latest suspicion is a TOCTOU in libEGl. Maybe it's a combination of my hardware/setup and the mutter updates that tickles libEGL the wrong way. What makes me a bit nervous is that I am the only one with this behaviour/bug. If I have more insights I'll let you know.
