Hello! Yes, this problem is still present, in the latest release of 26.04 (Ubuntu-Mate), and with completely different motherboard/CPU/GPU. (but the same monitors).
uname -a: Linux chocolate 6.19.0-9-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Mar 5 14:49:21 UTC 2026 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux lspci: 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers (rev 05) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Kaby Lake-S GT2 [HD Graphics 630] (rev 04) (i.e. I'm now using the embedded Intel graphics without using a dedicated GPU card). I've lived with this issue for years, through dozens of kernel updates and Ubuntu releases: every time I reboot, I have to run that xrandr script, manually fix up the modelines, and the system then works fine.
