Hehe, since you already talk about better workarounds, there's an even
better one.
You quoted tunables/rygel which contains
include if exists <tunables/rygel.d>
This means you can leave tunables/rygel unchanged (good on package
updates), and add your own folders to a new file
tunables/rygel.d/myfolders:
@{rygel_media_dirs}+=@{HOME}/Muzyka @{HOME}/Wideo @{HOME}/Obrazy
(note the "+=" which adds to the existing variable)
