Nvidia bug: Even if the assessment is incorrect, there is the reproducer that they can use to assess by their own what's the underlying issue, or at least pinpoint in the correct direction if it's some weird compiler issue or a wrong egl API usage etc.
Custom Mutter build: Totally, if Ubuntu5 is out, I'll test it. If you tell me how I should test your patches, I can do it instead of merging an building by my own, or just wait for public releases. At least I'm not the only person with this issue anymore. The sad part remains, reproducing the bug during normal workload in mutter feels so off, if you can think of a test that would trigger it, we could go really fast. if you don't have a test machine with a Nvidia card, we could schedule a debugging session together or similar. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2147648 Title: gnome-shell freeze: NVIDIA EGL deadlock in eglSwapBuffers triggered by notification damage rects To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2147648/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
