Hi - installed hardy alpha 3. System now boots OK with vga=0x317.
However - using this mode results in NO output/logging to console so cannot say if mode is actually being used - no errors in ring-buffer/kern.log. using this video mode causes graphics on shutdown/restart to behave unpredictably e.g. when desktop closes display turns purple with vertical lines or a single letter appears repeated (on a blue background with black blocks - mode seems like vga 16). System does shutdown/restart ok - just the display gets screwy. not using this mode results in ouput/logging to console and shutdown/restart is ok. -- kernel param vga=0x317 causes boot fail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/177731 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
