Public bug reported:
Hello,
I've created a simple patch against client/initramfs/scripts/ltsp_nbd
which will continue trying to mount the root squashfs if the first try
wasn't successful. It's mostly a copy & paste from the scripts/nfs
script from the initramfs-tools package. The amount of time before it
gives up is configurable via the rootdelay= boot option.
Rationale:
* It makes the boot process more robust against temporary network hiccups and
other annoyances which is always a good thing.
* As indicated by the subject, this is part of my attempt to leverage LTSP to
create diskless clients for Mythbuntu. Because MythTV servers are not
necessarily powered on all the time, I've added WOL support to the initramfs
(will provide a patch shortly). The patch in this ticket makes sure we don't
fail if the server is not online yet.
** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
