The link posted above states that by removing the bluez package, the
DiNovo set will work fine (without having to remove and re-insert the
USB Bluetooth dongle).

I can confirm that this is true. After removing that package, I am no
longer having this issue.

This leads me to believe that I no longer have Bluetooth support on my
system and the keyboard and mouse are working because the dongle is
programmed to work w/o a Bluetooth driver (hence the reason why I can
enter and edit my CMOS options whenever needed or change boot options).
