The Launch Feedback animation is not working for Desktop icons in 26.04
(resolute).
I have the configuration set (to bouncing) in Colours & Themes/ Cursors/
Configure Launch Feedback.
If I pin an item to the Taskbar - that does get launch feedback.
If I add it to the Desktop from the app menu (which creates a symlink to the
system location) that also gets launch feedback.
BUT, if I copy that system file into the ~/Desktop folder (so that I can
change things such as the displayed name) then there is no launch
feedback. Even though the file contents remain unchanged from the system
one.
