** Description changed:

  [overview]
renesas-iot-defaults is a collection of configuration files that help users
of Renesas RZ evaluation kits
(https://www.renesas.com/en/products/microcontrollers-microprocessors/rz-mpus#overview).

  [contents]
  - /etc/default/grub.d/99-renesas-iot-defaults.cfg
The only function of this file is to remove `quiet` from kernel cmd line to
make development and debugging of this experimental devices easier.

  - /usr/lib/systemd/system/fwupd-refresh.timer.d/50-renesas-iot-defaults.conf
During HW QA test runs, we realize that fwupd-refresh.service failed in
reboot cycle intermittenly. The root cause likely lies with RZ/G2L (DUT) being
1.2GHz CPU / 1GB RAM power-efficient board and restricting system resources
during the boot storm. The fix is this file, that makes fwupd avoid the boot
storm without affecting the actual boot time.

  - /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/50-rz-codec.rules
  - /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/60-rz-drpai.rules
Udev rules that allow a non-priviledged user to access codec and AI-related
devices in /dev.

  - /usr/share/metainfo/com.canonical.renesas-iot-defaults.metainfo.xml
A metainfo file that comes with the above mentioned udev rules.

  [testing]
HW IoT QAs have tested pre-built images that include equivalent package from
a private PPA (https://launchpad.net/~koto-team/+archive/ubuntu/koto-proposed).
I also tested it on noble and resolute (installing/removing) manually from
the test ppa(see next).
+ I have not yet tested it on stonking due to the image being not yet released
for this particular line of devices. I don't think a couple of configuration
files may cause a major bug, but I'm greatly appreciating about any testing
strategy for stonking that you might suggest.
+ My main goal is to upload for stonking and then SRU to noble and resolute
(currently supported series by RZ line of devices).

  [versioning]
I would like to request the version of the package starts from 1.2 (not from
1.0) due to existing published images containing a package of the same name up
to version 1.1 (from a private PPA). For the same reason I would like to
request the preservation of the existing changelog.

  [source & test ppa]
Source code for various Ubuntu series:
  noble:
https://code.launchpad.net/~asaly12/+git/renesas-iot-defaults/+ref/ubuntu/noble
  resolute:
https://code.launchpad.net/~asaly12/+git/renesas-iot-defaults/+ref/ubuntu/resolute
  stonking:
https://code.launchpad.net/~asaly12/+git/renesas-iot-defaults/+ref/ubuntu/stonking

The upstream for this package is the `files` folder in the same
repository as the `debian` folder, which makes this a native Ubuntu
  package.

If anyone wants to give it a go, check out this PPA:

https://launchpad.net/~asaly12/+archive/ubuntu/renesas-iot-defaults-test/+packages

Published pre-built image that include an equivalent package:
  https://ubuntu.com/download/renesas-iot

  [conclusion]
This package contains many useful configuration files for Renesas RZ users, I
wish to package it into the main archive to make sure anyone can make use of it.
