This is a minor annoyance in gnome 50...
I use a laptop that I often dock to an external monitor.  In 25.10 when I would 
reconnect things it was fine, everything would restore itself to as I left it.  
However since the update to 26.04 whenever I reconnect, gnome forgets that I 
have it set to HDR and it always reverts to SDR. Not a huge thing, but 
hopefully something that can be fixed in an update
