After a recent update, and rebooting of my system, I no longer see any
icons in the Gnome desktop. They do not display in the overview, on the
dock or the toolbar. Clicking around and tooltips still work so I can
still use the desktop, just with the lack of icons. The GDM login is
also missing also missing all icons so it is not limited to my personal
config.
If I disable AppArmor and reboot, then all icons are back and everything
looks normal. Albeit I am unable to run any flatpaks then, which I
assume is because of AppArmor being disabled.

Any suggestions on how to fix?
