This bug was fixed in the package qtmir - 0.8.0~git20260226.fb30a11-4

---------------
qtmir (0.8.0~git20260226.fb30a11-4) unstable; urgency=medium

  * debian/patches:
    + Add 0035_surfacemanager-windowmodel-guard-against-null-
      GLRenderingProvider.patch. surfacemanager, windowmodel: guard against
      null GLRenderingProvider.
    + Add 0036_mirsurface-show-X11-override-redirect-windows-when-ready.patch.
Fix Xwayland subsurface rendering, so that X11 widgets that use override-
redirect (GTK combo boxes, menus, etc.) get rendered properly in Mir.
Thanks for Marius Gripsgard for provding the patch.

** Description changed:

- .
+ Drop-down menus don't show for xwayland apps in Lomiri. You can still
+ open menu items with the keyboard if you know how many down arrow
+ presses you need before pressing enter.
+
+ Test Case
+ ---------
+ If you are using GNOME Boxes, virt-manager or qemu, you need to enable 3D
Acceleration. See https://wiki.debian.org/Lomiri
+
+ 1. From Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 LTS,
+ sudo apt install lomiri gtk-3-examples
+ When asked to choose between gdm3 and lightdm, it's ok to choose gdm
+ 2. Log out.
+ 3. Click your name on the login screen. Click the gear button and select
Lomiri. Enter your password to finish logging in.
+ 4. You may need to hold the Windows key to show the sidebar and app launcher
the first time you log in.
+ 5. Open a terminal and run
+ GDK_BACKEND_X11 gtk3-demo
+ ````
+
+ Run any of the demos. Verify that drop down menus work correctly.
+
+ Affected apps
+ -------------
+ - Google Chrome and Chromium still use xwayland by default
+ - Several apps that try to run the entire gui with elevated privileges appear
to use xwayland and are affected. Synaptic (.deb package manager), gparted,
calamares
+ - Most other apps using gtk3, gtk4, qt 5, or qt 6 aren't affected by default
