Hi, a random user here. On noble (minus a package hold on libexif2-27 owing to a previous known problem).
Seemingly since a recent update(?), this no longer **only** affects GIMP when the patterns menu is visible; it now affects GIMP whenever the patterns menu exists. ``` gimp: Gimp-Core-CRITICAL: gimp_temp_buf_new: assertion 'width > 0 && height > 0 && bpp > 0' failed gimp: fatal error: Segmentation fault ``` This is with GIMP 2.10.36-3ubuntu0.24.04.1. Installing the package at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gimp/2.10.36-3ubuntu0.24.04.2/+build/30993459 resolved the issue. The patch also seems 'obviously correct'; even if it generated an out of range source rectangle for the copy, it looks like GEGL would clamp accordingly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2061698 Title: Editing image, selecting a region and it crashed GIMP_2_10_36 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gimp/+bug/2061698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
