Public bug reported:

This is an upstream issue that has already been fixed and released:

Issue report: https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/issues/3624
Fix commit:
https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/commit/776e4cd2874108acc1b563be573dd96aaab58cdb

You just need to take the released 0.27.1 package and it will go away.

Debian link: https://packages.debian.org/sid/opensc

Note this also breaks any package using the -dev libs from building with ASAN:
==6575==You are trying to dlopen a libpcsclite.so.1 shared library with
RTLD_DEEPBIND flag which is incompatible with sanitizer runtime (see
https://github.com/google/sanitizers/issues/611 for details). If you want to
run libpcsclite.so.1 library under sanitizers please remove RTLD_DEEPBIND from
dlopen flags.

** Affects: opensc (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
