I'm using Ubuntu 26.04, which comes with:
* hexchat 2.16.2-1build6
* gnome-flashback 3.58.0-6ubuntu1
* xwayland 2:24.1.10-1
I have overlay-scrollbar-gtk2:amd64 (0.2.17.1+16.04.20151117-0ubuntu5)
installed.
When I run Hexchat, I get this error:
hexchat: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/gtk-2.0/modules/liboverlay-scrollbar.so: undefined symbol:
ubuntu_gtk_set_use_overlay_scrollbar
Hexchat starts fine under other sessions.
Removing the overlay-scrollbar-gtk2 package fixes the problem.
