The way this usually works is: the Debian maintainer will prepare the
new version in unstable, then we will rebase it in Ubuntu. We could
assess moving ahead of Debian now if this was an LTS cycle, but since
the next Ubuntu version is an interim one, we can possibly wait for
Debian here.
