I am seeing this bug as well. I too have two screens, but it happens
when I am just running singled screened as well (when my laptop is not
at my desk).

At random times, but always when I am interacting with it, a window will
resize to the fullscreen size, but not fullscreen mode. That is, its
base size is changed to the equivalent of full screen. I then have to
resize it back down to something reasonable.

I am running 64-bit Gutsy. My window manager is Metacity. I have set
Metacity to focus=mouse position (not click to focus). It happens
frequently, but I can't seem to make it predictably repeatable.
