To reproduce:
$ echo -e pytest\\npy.test | sort -u
py.test
$ echo -e pytest\\npy.test | LANG=C sort -u
py.test
pytest
This has been fixed upstream. This breaks all sorts of things, most
prominently for me that `pyenv` will not install shims for `pytest`.
But there must be all sorts of things that rely on this behaviour being
correct that are (perhaps very subtly) broken.
