This issue rendered GNOME Shell unusable after running snap install ashpd-demo --edge (unable to login, gdm greeter loop). It was particularly difficult to diagnose because the triggering action and the visible failure could be separated by days, making the eventual login failure look unrelated.
I didn't see any tests covering the changes. Malformed desktop entries bringing down the desktop is quite scary, so having them to avoid issues like this in the future would be nice if possible. Otherwise, with the SRU, the crashes are gone in g-c-c and GNOME Shell, so verification done pending the above comment. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2152282 Title: [SRU] Ubuntu 26.04 / Settings crashes when accessing "Apps" Section To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/malcontent/+bug/2152282/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
