Thanks for the help in debugging this, David. To make sure you can continue using your machine and updating .deb packages without accidentally using the system apparmor for snaps, you can set `SNAP_REEXEC=force` in `/etc/environment` and reboot. This will force the use of the snapd snap and the vendored apparmor parser, rather than the .deb snapd and system apparmor parser. Then if you/we would like to debug some more, simply remove the environment variable and reboot again.
