Running the latest available mariadb-server in jammy
(10.6.23-0ubuntu0.22.04.1) I can still reproduce it.

I just tested by imposing a low memory limit and forcing high memory
usage. mariadb got killed and was not restarted.

I then manually applied the patch from
https://github.com/MariaDB/server/pull/4182 and did the same thing.
mariadb got killed and was properly restarted.

This does make sense since it was only merged upstream to 10.6.24 and it
does not look like a patch was added for jammy.
