Public bug reported: When installing paraview (6.0.1+dfsg1-7) on Ubuntu 26.04 using --no- install-recommends, the toolbar icons are not rendered.
Installing the package qt6-svg-plugins on top fixes that. This seems to be a different package than libqt6svg6, which both this and paraview depend on. I think that qt6-svg-plugins should be specified as an additional dependency of the paraview package.
