I successfully completed the test case with qtmir 0.8.0~git20260226.fb30a11-3ubuntu0.1 on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
** Description changed: [Impact] Drop-down menus (such as in the menu bar or in combo boxes) don't show for xwayland apps in Lomiri. You can still open menu items with the keyboard if you know how many down arrow presses you need before pressing enter. [Test Case] If you are using GNOME Boxes, virt-manager or qemu, you need to enable 3D Acceleration. See https://wiki.debian.org/Lomiri 1. From Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 LTS, sudo apt install lomiri gtk-3-examples When asked to choose between gdm3 and lightdm, it's ok to choose gdm 2. Log out. 3. Click your name on the login screen. Click the gear button and select Lomiri. Enter your password to finish logging in. 4. You may need to hold the Windows key to show the sidebar and app launcher the first time you log in. 5. Open a terminal and run - GDK_BACKEND_X11 gtk3-demo + GDK_BACKEND=x11 gtk3-demo Run any of the demos. Verify that drop down menus work correctly. [Where problems could occur] qtmir is only used by Lomiri which is not an official Ubuntu desktop flavor. The minimal patches needed to fix this bug are applied. This fixes a critical bug for people who use Lomiri and want or need to use one of the affected apps.
