Hi — thanks for tracking this down. Fixed in byobu 7.1 (commit 1813091):
the postinst script now checks both the new path (/usr/libexec/gnome-
terminal-server) and the old path (/usr/lib/gnome-terminal/gnome-
terminal-server), so the correct desktop file is installed on both older
and newer gnome-terminal. Closing as Fix Released.
