Never had this problem up until the update to Firefox 150.0 in Ubuntu 24.04.1 (now running kernel 6.17.0-35-generic). Since then I get it daily when connecting my notebook to my desktop monitors. Only solution is to restart Firefox after monitor switching. Updating to most up to date Firefox (as well as kernel and system libraries) doesn't help.
