** Description changed:

After updating 26.04 install to kernel 7.0.0-11 I get the message

  piboot-try:
New boot assets in /boot/firmware/new failed. Fallen back to known good
state. Use piboot-try --reset-new to re-test boot assets. If you are able
to determine the boot failure is due to a bug, please file an issue:
  ubuntu-bug flash-kernel

The OS boots into the previous kernel, not the update as I would expect.

The install is a fresh install of 26.04, server.

- This is a Pi 3B, not a 4 or 5 as most other reports of this error appear
- to be.
+ This is a Pi 3B+, not a 4 or 5 as most other reports of this error
+ appear to be.

I've tried removing and reinstalling the kernel, to no effect.

  apport-bug flash-kernel doesn't produce anything useful, as flash-kernel
  doesn't appear to be installed.
