Public bug reported:

== Summary ==
After kernel upgrade from 6.17.0-29-generic to 6.17.0-35-generic on June 1,
2025,
a GenesysLogic USB hub chain began repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting.
The issue is fully resolved by adding usbcore.autosuspend=-1 as a kernel
parameter.

== Hardware ==
Machine: Beelink SER5 MAX Mini PC
CPU:       AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS
RAM:       24GB LPDDR5
OS:        Ubuntu (Noble), kernel 6.17.0-35-generic
BIOS:      ASE32001

== Affected Devices ==
GenesysLogic USB2.1 Hub  - idVendor=05e3, idProduct=0610
GenesysLogic USB3.1 Hub  - idVendor=05e3, idProduct=0626
(3-tier hub chain on xhci buses 6/7, PCI 0000:05:00.3)

== Symptom ==
The entire hub tree (6-1, 6-1.4, 6-1.4.4 and USB3 counterparts on bus 7)
disconnects as a unit and reconnects repeatedly. Samsung uSD Card Reader
connected through the hub also drops. Mouse and keyboard on direct ports
are unaffected.

== Kernel version boundary ==
Working:  6.17.0-29-generic
Broken:   6.17.0-35-generic
Upgrade date confirmed via dpkg log: June 1, 2025

== What was ruled out ==
- TLP: not installed
- power-profiles-daemon: last updated July 24, 2024 — not a factor
- No over-current or reset errors in dmesg
- xhci_pci is built-in (modprobe reload not possible)

== Workaround ==
Adding usbcore.autosuspend=-1 to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT
completely resolves the disconnects.

== Relevant dmesg pattern ==
Repeated sequences of:
  usb 7-1: USB disconnect, device number X
  usb 7-1.4: USB disconnect, device number X
  usb 7-1.4.4: USB disconnect, device number X
  usb 6-1: USB disconnect, device number X
  usb 6-1.4: USB disconnect, device number X
  usb 6-1.4.4: USB disconnect, device number X
followed by full re-enumeration of the hub chain.
