After upgrading the following packages on June 11th, 2026, my Windows
Server 2019 would crash consistently to the point where it could not
stay on long enough to even load the operating system.

I expected the hypervisor to update properly and all VMs to return to
normal working order after the upgrade and reboot. I've never had this
issue happen to any of the VMs I run on this hypervisor.
Instead, after the upgrade, the Windows Server 2019 VM would crash
consistently to the point where I could not investigate any issues
inside the VM itself. I knew that this was a problem with the QEMU
hypervisor as this immediately started after the upgrade. I ran the
following command to downgrade all the affected packagtes.
apt install qemu-system-common:amd64=1:2.11+dfsg-1ubuntu7.42 qemu-block-
extra=1:2.11+dfsg-1ubuntu7.42 qemu-utils=1:2.11+dfsg-1ubuntu7.42 qemu-
system-common:amd64:1:2.11+dfsg-1ubuntu7.42 qemu-
kvm=1:2.11+dfsg-1ubuntu7.42
After I downgraded all packages, the WIndows Server 2019 VM went back to
operating normally. I held back all these packages from future updates
until this bug is fixed.
