Hello Carlos,

Thanks for your reply.

But on Noble, the agent is not socket activated unfortunately:

drwxr-xr-x root/root         0 2026-04-28 00:29 ./usr/lib/systemd/user/
drwxr-xr-x root/root         0 2026-04-28 00:29
./usr/lib/systemd/user/graphical-session-pre.target.wants/
lrwxrwxrwx root/root         0 2026-04-28 00:29
./usr/lib/systemd/user/graphical-session-pre.target.wants/ssh-agent.service ->
../ssh-agent.service
-rw-r--r-- root/root       542 2025-08-26 12:41
./usr/lib/systemd/user/ssh-agent.service

(see:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/859193547/buildlog_ubuntu-noble-amd64.openssh_1%3A9.6p1-3ubuntu13.16_BUILDING.txt.gz)

It's only enabled by the graphical session/desktop starting.

I would argue that having that working OOTB for the LTS in WLS would be
a nice feature
