Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Kubuntu 26.04 with kernel 7.0.0-22-generic, the
system panics when entering suspend. The Caps Lock LED blinks (panic
indicator), the power LED stays solid, and the machine no longer
responds to any wake source; only a forced power-off recovers it.

Steps to reproduce: run "systemctl suspend" (or let the system suspend on idle).
The panic occurs with both mem_sleep modes (s2idle and deep).
Nothing is written to the journal; the panic happens before logs are flushed.

Booting the previous kernel 6.17.0-35-generic on the same installation
makes suspend/resume work flawlessly, so this is a regression in the 7.0
series.

Hardware: Dell Latitude 5490, BIOS 1.38.0, Intel 8th gen with integrated
graphics.
